Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PureGuard Apparel collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

Last updated: · Effective immediately.

1. What personal information we collect

We collect only the personal information we need to provide our services, which may include:

  • Contact details — name, business name, role, email, phone number.
  • Project information — garment requirements, quantities, sizes, branding artwork, delivery addresses.
  • Quotation & order records — communications, specifications, samples and approvals issued in the course of supply.
  • Payment & invoicing information — purchase-order numbers, billing addresses, payment references.
  • Website usage data — pages viewed, browser type, anonymised IP, referrer (see section 6).

We do not collect sensitive information (such as health, biometric or genetic data) unless you choose to provide it for a specific purpose connected with a uniform order.

2. Why we collect it

We collect and use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your enquiry or prepare a quotation.
  • To take, manage and fulfil orders (including coordinating with brand partners and freight).
  • To provide samples, embroidery proofs and ongoing account support.
  • To send you service messages and (with your consent) occasional updates we think are useful.
  • To meet our legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.
  • To improve our website and service offering.

3. How we collect it

Most personal information is collected directly from you — when you fill in a contact form, send us an email, call us, share artwork or place an order. We may also receive information from brand partners and freight providers involved in fulfilling your order, or from publicly available business registers for ABN verification.

We do not purchase personal information from data brokers.

4. Who we share it with

We only share personal information with third parties where reasonably necessary to deliver our services or meet legal obligations. The categories of recipient include:

  • Brand partners & manufacturers (Workcraft, Syzmik, DNC Workwear, JBs Wear, FashionBiz and others) — solely for the purpose of fulfilling orders you place.
  • Branding & decoration suppliers — embroidery, woven label, name-tag and print providers for your artwork.
  • Freight & courier providers — for delivery to the addresses you nominate.
  • IT & communications service providers — for hosting, email and the on-device AI assistant.
  • Professional advisers & regulators — where required by law.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for unrelated marketing.

5. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include access controls on our systems, encryption in transit (HTTPS), and restricting access to those team members who need it.

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or to meet our legal obligations (typically 7 years for supply records). When no longer required, we destroy or de-identify it.

6. Cookies and analytics

This site uses first-party cookies and local storage for:

  • Session state (e.g. AI assistant conversation history that runs on your device).
  • Anonymous usage analytics to help us improve the site.
  • Remembering your form-state when you reload.

We do not deploy third-party advertising cookies on this site. You can disable cookies in your browser at any time — the site will continue to work, though some interactive features may be reduced.

7. Website assistant (on-device)

The "PureGuard Assistant" runs entirely in your browser. Questions are processed locally using approved website and catalogue information and are not sent to PureGuard's servers or to any third party.

The assistant uses local rules and the website's static garment catalogue. It does not download a large language model and does not require WebGPU. Closing the assistant or refreshing the page clears the conversation state from your device.

8. Your rights

Subject to the Privacy Act, you have the right to:

  • Ask for access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out-of-date or incomplete.
  • Opt out of receiving marketing communications from us at any time (use the "unsubscribe" link in any email, or contact us directly).

We will respond to privacy requests within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. Overseas disclosure

PureGuard's primary operations are Australian. Some IT and communications providers we use (for example web hosting and email delivery) may process data in countries outside Australia. Where personal information is transferred overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated by email to active account holders and/or by a notice on the website.

11. Complaints

If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first using the details below and we will respond promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):
